Presented personally conducted research analyzing the literary text The One Thousand and One Nights in comparison with Arabian Nights mini-series and find the variation of storytelling from three varying academic perspectives. Participants ranged from students with art backgrounds and those in areas of math and science.

Presented personal research on the bildungsroman literary style in Ralph Ellison’s Invisible Man.

Fall 2022 MFA Critical Thesis, Salve Regina University - “Black and White and Gray All Over”
Developed a mock course in Females in African American Literature for The Citadel Military College, arguing that adding courses with diversity would meet their seven step academic plans, fulfill their mission statement, and develop and retain principled leaders.

Partnering with research specialists at Old Dominion University and the Virginia Department of Education, my role in this position is to help create interactive, high-quality training tools for teachers to practice identifying behavior intervention supports.

In conjunction with the chapter president and the executive board, I liaison their efforts by organizing community service events within the Hampton Roads area with local non-profits like the USO, Elizabeth River City Project, Virginia State Parks, and Norfolk Public Library events.
Mentor Collective Alumni Advisor – Millersville University
This university orchestrated program matches Millersville alumni with current Millersville students to help support them in their academic and career goals journey. Mentors are required to schedule monthly meetings with their mentees either in-person or virtually, and be accessible for any other personal, professional, or mental concerns they have throughout the remainder of their undergraduate career.
Equi Kids Therapeutic Riding Program – Virginia Beach
This non-profit focuses on providing and promoting physical, social, and emotional support through equine activities to students with disabilities.
Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) – Norfolk
The CASA volunteer program is a nationally recognized non-profit available throughout the country. The mission of the CASA volunteer is to support and advocate for children in foster care systems and high-risk situations through extensive interventions with the ultimate focus on building a relationship for the child in order to advocate for the best outcome in court.
